If you want a durable and resists heat finish, try going to Cummins or any truck dealer and order Cummins beige, I use that and Cummins titanitum (Black) and also mack engine grey.You have to dull them for they are somewhat glossy.I find it best using Cummins beige as the primer or base coat and build from there.And like moxie said, go to automotive paint and have what you want mixed, some places can put them in rattlecan for you or you can do the airbrush sprayer. I found a very, very close match in spray paint for FDE: Velspar 'Sagebrush' satin at Lowes. Rustoleum has four camo colors. I tried the one I thought would be closest to FDE, 'Khaki,' but it was too light, lighter than the cap, and it scratched easily, down to the black stock. So much for 'non-reflective' paint, it is also non-lasting.
Dark Earth Spray Paint
Cerakote Flat Dark Earth is a flat medium brown. This coating has been formulated to match FDE H-265.NOTE: This product does not require catalyst. This color does require a 100 Mesh Strainer (SE-275).
I was not able to find the Krylon camoflauge paints for plastics. I have a Magpul FDE angled foregrip and rail covers on my shotgun and I think they match close enough for me, easier and cheaper than Duracoat. I painted my tactical buttstock in the sagebrush. Here's a little trick, after spraying, run a blowdryer over it to dry and seal the paint.I already saw the next big color is UDE, Urban Dark Earth, like the gray in army digital camo.
I like coyote brown the best, but I havent seen rail covers in it. I have the Gerber LMF II Survivor knife with coyote brown handle and sheath.
